The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has extended the deadlines for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling, providing aspirants more time for admission, resignation, and upgradation.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) of Madhya Pradesh has announced an extension for the deadlines of the first round of NEET UG 2025 state combined counselling. This decision offers a crucial lifeline for medical and dental aspirants who are in the process of confirming their seats, resigning from an allotted college, or opting for an upgradation.
According to the official notice, the deadlines for various post-allotment activities have been revised to provide students with additional time to complete their admission formalities. This move is particularly beneficial for those who were awaiting final decisions or gathering required documents.
Revised Dates for Round 1
Aspirants of MBBS and BDS courses should note the following new deadlines:
- Admission/Reporting: The last date for admission has been extended until August 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
- Resignation/Cancellation: Candidates can now resign or cancel their admitted seat until August 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
- Upgradation Option: The window to edit the upgradation option is now open until August 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
It is important to remember that all candidates are required to select the upgradation option (YES/NO) at the time of their admission. The DME's decision to extend these dates comes shortly after the release of the revised opening and closing ranks for the first-round allotment.
