The MHT CET 2025 CAP Round 2 provisional seat allotment result is set to be released on August 11. Find details on how to check your result, post-allotment steps, and required documents.

Engineering aspirants in Maharashtra are keenly awaiting the next stage of the admission process. The MHT CET 2025 CAP Round 2 provisional seat allotment result is officially scheduled to be released tomorrow, August 11, 2025. This is a crucial day for candidates who either did not receive a seat in the first round or chose the "betterment" option to upgrade their previous allotment.
The online option entry for this round has already concluded, with the deadline passing on August 8. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will now process the choices submitted by thousands of students against the vacant seats available across participating institutes. The allotment is based on a candidate's MHT CET merit rank and the preferences they have filled.
How to Check Your Allotment Status
Once the results are declared tomorrow, candidates can check their allotment status by following these steps:
- Visit the official MHT CET counselling portal: fe2025.mahacet.org.
- Click on the link for the "Provisional Allotment for CAP Round 2".
- Log in using your Application ID and Password.
- Your allotment letter will be displayed on the screen, showing the college and course you have been assigned.
- Download and print the allotment letter, as it's a mandatory document for the next steps.
Post-Allotment: Essential Steps and Dates
After the result is out, candidates who have been allotted a seat must take immediate action to confirm their admission. The timeline for these activities is very strict, and missing a deadline can result in the forfeiture of the seat.

1. Seat Acceptance and Fees
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 will have to choose between a "Freeze" and a "Float" option.
- Freeze: If you are satisfied with your allotted seat and do not wish to participate in subsequent rounds, you must choose to "Freeze" the seat. You will then need to pay the seat acceptance fee online.
- Float: If you are allotted a seat that is not your first choice, but you wish to be considered for a higher-preference college in the next round, you can choose to "Float". You must still pay the seat acceptance fee to remain in contention for Round 3.
Note: Candidates who have been allotted one of their top three preferences are "auto-freezed" and are not eligible for further rounds.
2. Reporting to the Allotted College
After online seat acceptance, candidates must physically report to their assigned college for document verification and confirmation of admission. It is mandatory to carry all original documents, their photocopies, and the fee payment receipt.
List of Required Documents
Candidates should prepare the following documents (originals and a set of photocopies) for physical verification at the allotted college:
