. This round, also known as the Mop-Up Round, presents a final opportunity for students who have not yet secured a seat in the previous rounds of the All India Quota (AIQ) and Deemed University counselling.
The detailed schedule for online registration and choice filling has been published, with the entire process set to be completed in less than a month. Aspirants are advised to prepare their documents and be ready to participate actively as the registration window is brief.
Complete Schedule for the Mop-Up Round
The MCC has laid out a clear timeline for all the key events of the third round. Candidates must strictly follow these dates to be eligible for a seat allotment.
- Registration & Payment: September 29 to October 5, 2025
- Choice Filling & Locking: September 30 to October 5, 2025
- Seat Allotment Result: October 8, 2025
- Reporting to Allotted College: October 9 to October 17, 2025
Eligibility and Important Guidelines
The Mop-Up Round has specific eligibility rules. The following candidates can participate:
- New candidates who have not yet registered for NEET UG counselling.
- Aspirants who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 but were not allotted a seat.
- Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but resigned with forfeiture of their security deposit.
A key rule to remember for this round is the "no free exit" policy. If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 3 and fails to join the college, their security deposit will be forfeited. This also disqualifies them from participating in the subsequent Stray Vacancy Round.
Aspirants are advised to thoroughly check the final seat matrix, which will be published before the registration window opens. For regular updates and notifications, follow Only Education News.
