The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has officially declared the seat allotment results for the INI CET January 2026 Round 1. This national-level entrance process determines admissions into postgraduate medical courses including MD, MS, M.Ch (6 years), DM (6 years), and MDS at premier Institutes of National Importance (INIs) such as AIIMS campuses, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and SCTIMST Trivandrum.

Following the completion of the choice-filling window on December 13, the result has been published in a comprehensive PDF merit list format on the official AIIMS portal (aiimsexams.ac.in). Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the allotment list must now transition to the mandatory online acceptance and physical reporting phase to secure their specialization.

Key Timeline and Reporting Essentials

The window for post-allotment action is strictly time-bound. Candidates are required to log in and exercise their options before the deadline to avoid a heavy penalty and disqualification from subsequent rounds.

  • Round 1 Result Declaration: December 18, 2025.
  • Online Seat Acceptance Window: December 19 to December 24, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM).
  • Physical Reporting & Document Submission: December 19 to December 24, 2025.
  • Penalty for Non-Joining: A penalty of ₹3 Lakh will be applicable for candidates who accept a seat but fail to join the allotted institute.

Decision Options for Candidates:

  1. Option 1 (Accept & Freeze): The candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds. This requires immediate physical reporting.
  2. Option 2 (Accept & Upgrade): The candidate accepts the current seat but wishes to be considered for a higher preference in Round 2. If upgraded, the Round 1 seat is vacated; if not, the original seat is retained.

Required Documents for Verification

Candidates must report to the allotted institute with original certificates. Verification of these documents is a prerequisite for final admission.

  • INI CET Credentials: Admit Card, Rank Card, and the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
  • Academic Certificates:
    • MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate.
    • Mark sheets of all professional examinations.
    • Internship Completion Certificate: Confirming completion by January 31, 2026.
  • Registration & Identity:
    • Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate (NMC/State Council).
    • High School/Class 10 Certificate (for Date of Birth proof).
    • Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport).
  • Category/Caste Certificates: SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificates in the prescribed format (OBC/EWS certificates must be within the valid issue dates specified by AIIMS).

Looking Ahead: Round 2 and Beyond

The seats remaining vacant after the Round 1 reporting phase will be carried forward to the second round. The choices locked by candidates during Round 1 will remain the basis for the Round 2 allotment.
