The ICFAI Business School (IBS) has officially opened registrations for the IBSAT 2025 exam, marking the start of the MBA admission process for its nine campuses across the country, including the flagship IBS Hyderabad. This is a pivotal moment for management aspirants who are looking to secure a seat in the MBA/PGPM programs for the 2026-28 batch.
The IBSAT is an online aptitude test, with a flexible remote proctoring format that allows candidates to appear for the exam from the comfort of their homes. The exam is scheduled for December 27 and 28, 2025. It assesses a candidate's proficiency in key areas, including Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Interpretation.
Key Highlights of the IBSAT 2025 Admission Process
- Application Process: The registration is a single online process for all nine IBS campuses, with an application fee of ₹1,800. The last date to apply is in the third week of December 2025.
- Alternate Exam Scores: While IBSAT is the primary entrance exam, IBS also accepts valid scores from other national-level exams such as CAT, NMAT by GMAC, XAT, and GMAT (from 2023 onwards). Candidates with these scores are exempted from taking the IBSAT.
- Eligibility Criteria: A bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks is required. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements by May 31, 2026.
- Selection Process: The final selection is a holistic process that goes beyond just the exam score. Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a selection round beginning in the second week of February 2026. This stage includes a Micro Presentation (MP) and a Personal Interview (PI) to assess a candidate's communication skills, clarity of thought, and suitability for the management program. The final admission decision is based on a composite score that considers the entrance exam score, academic record, and performance in the MP and PI rounds.
