Today, June 30, 2025, is a high-stakes day for Dental Aspirants across India, as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) closes the curtain on NEET MDS 2025 Counselling Round 1 registration, choice filling, and choice locking. For thousands of qualified candidates eyeing MDS Courses and a future in Dental Education, this is the final opportunity to secure a coveted seat in postgraduate Dental Colleges for the Academic Year 2025-26. Missing these critical deadlines could mean deferring their dreams of Higher Education.

The NEET MDS Counselling process, managed by the MCC, is an entirely online procedure, emphasizing the need for timely and accurate submissions. With just hours left, candidates must ensure all steps, from registration to choice locking, are meticulously completed on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

Today's Absolute Deadlines: A Race Against Time

The clock is ticking for Dental Aspirants who wish to participate in the first round of NEET MDS 2025 Counselling. The following deadlines are non-negotiable:

Registration Window Closure: The online registration for NEET MDS 2025 Counselling Round 1 will close at 12:00 PM (Noon) today, June 30, 2025. This means applicants must complete their initial registration on the MCC portal before this time. This initial application deadline is paramount for all aspiring MDS Course candidates.

Registration Fee Payment: Following registration, the payment of the prescribed registration fee must be completed by 3:00 PM today, June 30, 2025. Failure to submit the fee will result in an incomplete application, effectively disqualifying the candidate from the Counselling Process.

Choice Filling and Locking: The crucial choice filling and choice locking window will conclude at 11:55 PM today, June 30, 2025. The choice locking facility, allowing candidates to finalize their preferences for Dental Colleges and MDS Courses, will open from 4:00 PM today. It is imperative that candidates carefully select their choices, prioritizing institutions and specializations as per their preference, before locking them. Unlocked choices will not be considered for seat allotment.

These Important Dates underscore the urgency for every eligible candidate to finalize their application for NEET MDS 2025 Counselling.

Crucial Updates for Informed Choices

The MCC has released vital Latest Updates that Dental Aspirants must consider before submitting their final choices:

NRI Status Conversion: A list of 59 candidates has been provisionally converted from Indian to NRI status for the purpose of NEET MDS Counselling. This conversion is based on submitted documents, though final confirmation remains subject to physical document verification at the time of institute reporting. Candidates who applied for this change should verify their status on the MCC website.

Revised Seat Matrix: The NEET MDS 2025 Counselling Round 1 seat matrix has undergone a revision. Notably, 13 additional seats have been included in the Government Dental College and Research Institute, Bangalore. This revision changes the overall availability of seats, which stands at a total of 1,574 seats for allotment in this round, encompassing All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Government Dental Colleges, Deemed Universities, and Central Institutions. Candidates are strongly advised to refer to the updated seat matrix on mcc.nic.in before locking their preferences.

These adjustments can significantly influence the seat allotment outcomes, making it essential for Dental Aspirants to remain thoroughly informed.

What Comes Next: Post-Deadline Steps for Dental Aspirants

Once the NEET MDS 2025 Counselling Round 1 application window closes today, the focus shifts to the next stages of the Admissions Process:

Seat Allotment Result: The much-anticipated Round 1 seat allotment result for NEET MDS 2025 is scheduled to be declared on July 3, 2025. Candidates will be able to check their provisional seat allotment status on the MCC website.

Reporting to Allotted Colleges: Following the seat allotment result, successful candidates will need to report to their provisionally allotted Dental Colleges for document verification and admission. This reporting phase is scheduled from July 4 to July 8, 2025.
