The National Testing Agency (NTA CUET) has officially released the provisional CUET UG 2025 Answer Key for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) that was conducted between May 13 and June 04, 2025. This highly anticipated release allows lakhs of students across the country to cross-verify their responses and estimate their scores, bringing them one step closer to securing admission in various undergraduate programs at Central, State, Deemed, and Private Universities. Along with the CUET UG Answer Key, candidates' response sheets and question papers have also been made available on the official website.

A critical window for candidates to raise objections against the provisional CUET UG Answer Key is currently open. This Answer Key Challenge window will remain active until June 20, 2025 (up to 11:00 PM). Any candidate who believes there is an error in the provided answer key can submit a challenge along with supporting evidence and a non-refundable fee. This process is vital to ensure the fairness and accuracy of the final CUET UG Result. All aspirants are strongly advised to visit exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ or cuet.nta.nic.in without delay to access their answer keys and raise any valid objections.

Steps to Download the CUET UG 2025 Answer Key and Response Sheet

Downloading your CUET UG 2025 Answer Key and response sheet is a straightforward process. Candidates must follow these steps carefully to access these crucial documents:

  • Visit the Official CUET UG Website: Go to either exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ or cuet.nta.nic.in.
  • Locate the Answer Key Link: On the homepage, look for a link related to "Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Question Paper with Recorded Responses for Answer Key Challenge of CUET (UG) 2025" or simply "CUET UG 2025 Provisional Answer Key." This is typically found under the 'Candidate Activity' section or 'Latest News' section.
  • Log In: Click on the link and you will be redirected to the login page. Enter your CUET UG Exam Application Number and Date of Birth (or Password) to access your dashboard.
  • Access Your Documents: Once logged in, you will find links to view/download your provisional CUET UG Answer Key, your recorded responses (response sheet), and the question paper for the subjects you appeared for. It's advisable to download all these PDFs.
  • Calculate Your Probable Score: Compare your recorded responses from the response sheet with the answers provided in the CUET UG Answer Key. For every correct answer, add +5 marks. For every incorrect answer, deduct -1 mark. Unanswered questions do not incur any penalty. This will give you an estimated raw score.

It is essential to download and save these documents for future reference, especially for the Answer Key Challenge process.

Challenging the CUET UG 2025 Answer Key: Key Details

The Answer Key Challenge facility is a critical mechanism for candidates to ensure that their evaluation is accurate. Here are the important details regarding this process:

  • Window for Challenge: The challenge window is open from June 17, 2025, and will close on June 20, 2025, at 11:00 PM. No challenges will be accepted after this deadline.
  • Fee per Question: A non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged is required. This fee must be paid online using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Challenges submitted without payment will not be considered.
  • Procedure for Challenge:
    • Log in to the CUET UG portal using your credentials.
    • Click on the "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key" link.
    • Select the Test Subject and Question ID you wish to challenge.
    • Provide a clear explanation and upload supporting documents (in a single PDF file) as justification for your challenge.
    • Review your claims and proceed to pay the challenge fee.
  • Expert Review: All challenges received will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts appointed by NTA CUET. If a challenge is found to be valid, the provisional answer key will be revised accordingly. The decision of the experts will be final, and no individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance or non-acceptance of their challenge. The revised key will be reflected in the final answer key.

Candidates are encouraged to only challenge questions where they have strong, verifiable evidence of discrepancy.

What's Next: CUET UG Results and University Admissions

After the Answer Key Challenge window closes and the expert panel reviews all objections, NTA CUET will release the final CUET UG Answer Key. This final key will be the basis for calculating the CUET UG Result.

  • CUET UG Result Date: The CUET UG Result for 2025 is expected to be declared tentatively by the last week of June 2025 or early July 2025. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official website using their application number and date of birth.
  • University-Specific Counselling: Following the result declaration, participating universities (Central, State, Deemed, and Private) will conduct their individual counselling and admission processes based on the CUET UG scores. This typically involves registering on the university's admission portal, submitting preferences for courses and colleges, and participating in seat allotment rounds.
  • Merit Lists and Cut-offs: Each university will release its own merit lists and cut-off scores for various programs. Candidates must track the admission portals of their preferred universities.

The CUET UG Exam serves as a unified platform for admission to a wide range of undergraduate programs, including science, arts, commerce, and vocational courses. Successfully navigating the answer key and result phase is critical for securing a seat in your desired university.
