The Delhi High Court is hearing petitions related to CLAT 2025 results, focusing on discrepancies in the exam and potential revisions to the outcome. A decision from the court is expected soon, which will determine the revised counselling schedule for CLAT UG and PG admissions.

The Delhi High Court is set to resume hearings today, April 9, 2025, on petitions challenging the CLAT 2025 results. The proceedings focus on alleged discrepancies in the answer key for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law admissions. With the counselling process currently on hold, thousands of candidates are eagerly awaiting clarity on revised results and updated counselling schedules.

Key Highlights from the Hearing

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela is presiding over the case. The court has previously flagged errors in the CLAT UG question paper, including one question that was deemed invalid and removed from consideration.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), responsible for conducting CLAT, has been urged to improve the quality of paper setters to avoid future discrepancies.

The Supreme Court had earlier consolidated all CLAT-related petitions under the Delhi High Court to prevent conflicting rulings across multiple jurisdictions.

Impact on Counselling Process

The CLAT 2025 counselling process, originally scheduled to begin in December 2024, has been delayed due to legal challenges surrounding the results. Revised counselling dates are expected to be announced once the court delivers its verdict. Candidates will need to register online and submit their NLU preferences before the seat allotment process begins.

Next Steps

The court is expected to deliver a decision soon regarding the validity of CLAT 2025 results and subsequent revisions.

Revised merit lists and counselling schedules will likely follow after the hearing concludes.

Stay tuned for live updates as the Delhi High Court continues deliberations on this critical matter affecting over 65,000 law aspirants across India.
