The Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2024 has officially announced the schedule for Round 3, with choice filling and locking set from October 24 to October 26, 2024. Candidates can expect seat allotment results on November 1, 2024, as they navigate the crucial steps towards securing their admissions in medical and dental colleges across the state.

NLP Concept Illustration

The Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2024 is an essential process for students aspiring to secure admission in medical and dental colleges across the state. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the schedule for Round 3 of the counselling, which includes key dates for choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification.

Key Dates for Round 3

  • Choice Filling and Locking: October 24, 2024, to October 26, 2024
  • Seat Allotment Date: November 1, 2024
  • Downloading of Allotment Order: November 1 to November 3, 2024
  • Document Verification: November 2 to November 3, 2024

Counselling Process Overview

The counselling process consists of several crucial steps that candidates must follow:

  1. Online Registration:
    • Candidates must register on the BCECEB website by providing details such as their NEET Roll Number, name, date of birth, and contact information.
    • A security question must also be answered for account security.
  2. Choice Filling:
    • After registration, candidates can fill their preferred choices of colleges and courses.
    • It is essential to lock in these choices before the deadline to ensure they are considered during seat allotment.
  3. Seat Allotment:
    • Seats are allocated based on candidates' merit ranks and their filled choices.
    • Candidates can check their provisional seat allotment status online.
  4. Handwriting Verification:
    • To confirm identity and authenticity, candidates must undergo handwriting verification.
    • This step involves comparing a sample of the candidate's handwriting with that on their OMR answer sheet from the entrance exam.
  5. Final Allotment and Document Verification:
    • Candidates who pass handwriting verification will receive a final allotment letter detailing their assigned college.
    • They must then report to the designated institute for document verification and payment of tuition fees.

Required Documents

Candidates must prepare the following documents for verification during the counselling process:

  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • BCECE Admit Card
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Character certificate
  • Passport-sized photographs (six copies)
  • Any other relevant certificates as specified by BCECEB

Important Considerations

  • Eligibility: Only candidates who qualify in NEET and appear in the Bihar merit list are eligible for counselling.
  • Multiple Rounds: The counselling process may include multiple rounds depending on seat availability. If seats remain unfilled after initial rounds, a mop-up round may be conducted.
  • Payment: Candidates need to pay a counselling fee through bank challan during registration.

For further details and updates, candidates are encouraged to visit the official BCECEB website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. This platform will provide real-time information regarding any changes or additional instructions related to the counselling process.
