This revision, implemented to align with the latest dates released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the All India Quota, provides final, updated timelines for medical aspirants seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical/dental colleges across Punjab.
Key Deadlines and Fee Deposit
The most immediate and critical change concerned the deadline for candidates to submit their willingness to participate along with the required security deposit.
- Last Date for Willingness & Security Deposit: Extended until October 10, 2025 (up to 3:00 PM).
The security deposit amounts vary based on the colleges a candidate opts for: ₹10,000 for government colleges (or ₹5,000 for SC/BC/PWD categories), or a mandatory ₹2,00,000 if candidates select private colleges or a combination of both government and private options. Failure to make this deposit by the deadline results in immediate ineligibility for the current round.
Resignation, Choice Filling, and Results
BFUHS has also set a final window for candidates to surrender or resign from any seat allotted in the previous Round 1 or Round 2. This process must be completed by October 12, 2025, through a physical application submitted directly to the Principal of the respective college, as emails or postal applications will not be entertained.

The provisional merit list was displayed on October 10, 2025. Candidates who submit fresh willingness today (October 10) can still exercise their choices from October 11 to October 13, 2025.
The Final Allotment Result on October 24, 2025, is particularly noteworthy. This result will be released after BFUHS receives the data of candidates who have already joined under the MCC's Round 3 (AIQ) counselling. This measure ensures that seats are not blocked by candidates who have secured admission through the All India Quota. Only after this step is completed, candidates allotted a seat will have from October 25 to October 27, 2025, to complete their fee payment and report to their respective colleges to finalize the admission process.
