Law graduates across the country are on alert as the Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to release the official notification for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 (XX) soon. This is a mandatory exam for all law graduates who wish to practice law in India. The notification will provide a comprehensive schedule, including key dates for registration and the examination. Tentative Schedule and Key Details

While the official dates are yet to be announced, the exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in September 2025, with results likely to be released in December 2025 or January 2026. The AIBE is an open-book, pen-and-paper examination conducted offline.

  • Application Fees: The application fee is expected to be INR 3,500 for General and OBC candidates and INR 2,500 for SC/ST candidates (excluding GST).

  • Languages: The exam will be conducted in 11 regional languages, in addition to English, to make it more accessible to candidates from different parts of the country.
