NTRUHS M.Sc. Nursing Admissions 2025 Application Window Closes Soon
The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, is rapidly approaching the deadline for online applications for admission to the M.Sc. (Nursing) courses under the Competent Authority Quota for the 2025-26 academic year. Aspirants must submit their forms and required documents by 10:00 A.M. on October 23, 2025.

The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has issued an urgent notification for aspirants seeking admission to its M.Sc. (Nursing) programs. The window for online applications, which opened on October 17, 2025, is set to close at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 23, 2025. This final deadline applies to admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the 2025-26 session.
Aspirants are strongly cautioned that the entire application process is strictly online. This includes filling out the form, uploading scanned copies of certificates/documents, and paying the requisite fees. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates are required to print out the filled-in application form and the provisional verification form, along with all original certificates, as these will be needed later during the physical reporting at the allotted college.
Following the application closure, the university will release a provisional merit list, followed by the final merit position. Candidates must regularly visit the official NTRUHS website for all subsequent schedules, including the dates for exercising web options, seat allotments, and the eventual closure of admissions.
Eligibility and Reservation Highlights
The eligibility criteria for the M.Sc. (Nursing) courses are clearly defined in the notification:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. Hons (Nursing), or Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for admission, in compliance with the latest INC regulations.
- Registration & Experience: Candidates must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM). Non-service candidates are required to have a minimum of one year of work experience after the registration of their B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree, calculated as of September 30, 2025.
- Service Candidates: In-service candidates (regular employees of the Government of Andhra Pradesh) must have put in not less than 5 years of service in the Nursing capacity as of September 30, 2025, and have a remaining service period of a minimum of seven years.
The admission process adheres to detailed reservation policies, including vertical reservations for SC (15%), ST (6%), and BC sub-groups (total 29%), ensuring fair opportunity for all aspirants. The reservation for SC is further sub-classified into Group I (1%), Group II (6.50%), and Group III (7.50%).
