It is imperative that candidates complete their registration within the designated window and schedule their exams promptly to secure their desired slots.

A Detailed Guide to the Registration Process

The online registration for NMAT 2025 is a straightforward process, but it requires careful attention to detail. Candidates can follow these steps to register successfully:

  1. Create an Account: Visit the official NMAT website, mba.com/nmat, and click on the 'Register Now' button. You will need to provide your name, a valid email address, and a mobile number. Ensure that the details you provide match the ones on your official identification documents, as this will be verified at the test center.
  2. Fill the Application Form: After creating your account and verifying your email, log in to the NMAT dashboard. Here, you will be required to fill out the detailed application form, which includes personal information, educational qualifications, and work experience details.
  3. Select B-school Preferences: A unique and valuable feature of NMAT is that the initial registration fee includes sending your scores to five B-schools of your choice. Aspirants should carefully research and select their preferred institutions from the list of participating schools.
  4. Upload Documents: You must upload a recent passport-sized photograph that is no more than six months old. This photo will be used for your admit card and will be a part of the identity verification process on the exam day.
  5. Payment and Scheduling: Pay the application fee using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. Once the payment is successful, you can proceed to schedule your exam date and time from the available slots within the exam window. This is also where you will choose whether to take the exam at a test center or through the online remote proctored option.

Unique Features and Exam Pattern of NMAT 2025

The NMAT exam stands out from other entrance tests due to its unique format and scoring policies. The exam is structured into three sections with fixed time limits, but aspirants can choose the order in which they attempt these sections. This flexibility allows test-takers to leverage their strengths strategically.

  • Language Skills: This section has 36 questions to be completed in 28 minutes.
  • Quantitative Skills: This section consists of 36 questions to be completed in 52 minutes.
  • Logical Reasoning: This section contains 36 questions to be completed in 40 minutes.

The most notable feature is the absence of negative marking, which encourages candidates to attempt all questions without the fear of losing marks. Furthermore, aspirants can take the NMAT exam up to three times—a first attempt and two retakes—with a mandatory gap of 15 days between two consecutive attempts. The best score out of all attempts is considered for admission purposes, providing a fantastic opportunity to improve performance. The unofficial scorecard is also released immediately after the exam, while the official one is made available within 48 hours.
