NEET 2025: MCC Issues Advisory on AIIMS Mangalagiri for PwD Candidates
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a new advisory for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates, clarifying that AIIMS Mangalagiri is not fully equipped for issuing disability certificates. The PwD portal for Round 2 is now open. For regular updates, follow Only Education News.

In a crucial update for medical aspirants with disabilities, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice advising PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) candidates not to visit All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri, for the purpose of obtaining their disability certificates. The advisory clarifies that while the institution was designated as a disability center, it is not yet fully equipped to conduct the necessary physical evaluations and provide the required certificates.
To ensure a seamless and transparent counselling process, the MCC has onboarded other medical colleges and institutions as designated disability centers. This measure is in accordance with the interim guidelines from the National Medical Commission (NMC) for admissions under the PwBD category for the academic year 2025-26.
Important Dates and Instructions for PwBD Candidates
The PwD portal for Round 2 of the NEET UG 2025 counselling is currently active and will remain open until 12:00 PM on September 9, 2025. All PwBD candidates are required to visit the designated centers with their valid UDID card to get their disability certificates.
Aspirants are advised to check the official MCC website for the complete list of designated disability centers. Candidates should choose a center that is convenient for them and complete the certification process before the deadline. The MCC has also released a revised counselling schedule for Round 2, with registration having started on September 4 and the choice filling and locking window open from September 5 to September 9, 2025.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to adhere to these deadlines to avoid any last-minute inconveniences. For all the latest news on medical education and admissions, follow Only Education News [https://www.onlyeducation.in/exams-list/medical]
