The CAT 2025 registration portal is now live. Aspirants can apply for the exam, scheduled for November 30, until September 13 on the official website.

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have officially commenced the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. This highly anticipated event began on August 1, 2025, providing a vital opportunity for MBA aspirants across the country to take their first step toward securing a seat at one of the prestigious IIMs or other top-tier B-schools.

The application window, hosted on the official website iimcat.ac.in, will remain open for just over a month. IIM Kozhikode, the coordinating IIM for this year's exam, has urged all candidates to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.


Key Dates for CAT 2025:

The official CAT 2025 schedule provides a clear roadmap for all aspirants:

  • Registration Start Date: August 1, 2025 (10:00 AM)
  • Registration End Date: September 13, 2025 (5:00 PM)
  • Admit Card Release: November 5, 2025
  • CAT 2025 Exam Date: Sunday, November 30, 2025
  • Result Declaration: Early January 2026 (Tentative)

The exam will be a computer-based test conducted in three separate sessions on November 30, 2025, across approximately 170 test cities in India.

Step-by-Step Registration Process:

  1. New Candidate Registration: Visit iimcat.ac.in and click on the "New Candidate Registration" link. Provide your name, date of birth, mobile number, and a valid email address to receive your login credentials.
  2. Fill the Application Form: Log in with the generated credentials. Carefully fill in all personal, academic, and work experience details.
  3. Choose Programs and Test Cities: Select the IIM programs you wish to be considered for and choose up to six preferred test cities in order of preference.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and a scanned signature, ensuring they meet the specified size and format. Candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, PwD) or those with work experience must also upload their respective certificates.
  5. Pay Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable application fee online. The fee is ₹2,600 for General and NC-OBC candidates and ₹1,300 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The payment can be made via credit/debit card, net banking, or other online payment gateways.

It is highly recommended that aspirants prepare all the necessary documents and information beforehand to ensure a smooth and error-free application process.
