OJEE Counselling 2026 Round 2 UG Seat Allotment Postponed to July 16: Check New Result Time

If you've been refreshing ojee.nic.in today expecting your Round 2 seat allotment, here's a quick heads-up before you keep waiting: the result has been pushed back. The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) has postponed the Round 2 seat allotment for undergraduate programs, originally due today, July 15, to July 16, 2026, at 5 PM.

It's a small delay, but for candidates who've been counting down to this moment, even a one-day shift matters. The good news is there's no ambiguity about the new timing, OJEEB has clearly stated the release will happen at 5 PM tomorrow.

What's Changed

This postponement affects five undergraduate programs specifically, B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, B.Cat, and Integrated MSc, so if you applied for any of these, this new date applies directly to you.

How to Check the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

Once the result goes live tomorrow, here's how to access it:

1. Visit the official OJEE portal, ojee.nic.in
2. Click on the Round 2 seat allotment result link on the homepage
3. Log in using your application number and password
4. View your allotted institute, branch, and category details
5. Download the provisional allotment letter for future use

What Comes After the Allotment

Getting allotted a seat is just the first part, there are a few follow-up steps that candidates absolutely cannot afford to miss:

• Pay the seat acceptance fee within the notified window
• Upload required documents on the portal
• Exercise the Freeze or Float choice on time, based on your preference

Here's the part worth repeating: missing any one of these steps can cost you the seat entirely. OJEEB will publish exact deadlines alongside the result, so it's worth checking the notices section on the portal daily rather than assuming you have unlimited time.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

• Log in to ojee.nic.in on July 16, after 5 PM
• Check your Round 2 allotment result as soon as it's live
• Note the exact deadline for seat acceptance fee payment
• Keep scanned documents ready in advance for upload
• Pay the seat acceptance fee through the available online modes
• Decide between Freeze or Float based on your preference
• Save the allotment letter and fee receipt safely for reporting later

What to Watch For Next

Once Round 2 results are out, keep an eye on the OJEE portal for the reporting schedule and document verification list. Special round dates for any remaining vacant UG seats are expected to follow shortly after, so this isn't quite the final checkpoint for candidates still hoping to secure a seat.
