The Enforcement Directorate says it searched 12 premises in Odisha and West Bengal on 9, 10, and 12 October 2026 as part of its investigation into the alleged leak of the Odisha Sub Inspector recruitment examination paper.
The agency’s 14 October press release concerns the SI Recruitment Exam-2024. The year in the examination’s name should not be confused with the date of this investigation update.
What has ED reported?
ED’s Bhubaneswar Zonal Office says it seized documents, devices, and records during searches connected to companies and people involved in the examination process. The material remains under examination.
According to the agency, the case originated in an Odisha Police FIR in October 2025 and was subsequently transferred to the CBI. ED alleges that access to confidential examination material was offered for money.
These are the investigating agency’s allegations and account of its work, not findings of guilt by a court. The release says further investigation is continuing.
Does this announce a new examination or result?
No. This release does not announce a new examination date, result, revised merit list or candidate deadline. Candidates should not treat an investigation update as a replacement for recruitment-board instructions.
Before changing an examination or travel plan, check the notice for the correct recruitment cycle. Keep application acknowledgements and relevant official communications for reference.
