NMAT 2026 Registration, NMIMS MBA 2027 Applications End Oct 25

Candidates planning to take NMAT by GMAC 2026 or apply for NMIMS MBA 2027 should note two separate October 25 deadlines. GMAC's dedicated Important Dates & Fees page currently lists October 25, 2026 as the final date for both NMAT registration and test scheduling. The NMAT exam-delivery window is scheduled from November 2 to December 20, 2026.  Separately, the official NMIMS MBA 2027 admissions website states that its application deadline has been extended until October 25, 2026. Candidates targeting NMIMS must complete the university's separate MBA application even after registering for the NMAT exam. 

NMAT and NMIMS MBA 2027: Key Dates

These NMAT dates are listed on GMAC's current dedicated Important Dates & Fees page.  Neither the GMAC date table nor the NMIMS deadline text cited here provides a specific textual closing hour for October 25. Candidates should therefore not assume a particular midnight cutoff and should complete both processes well in advance.

NMAT Registration and NMIMS MBA Application Are Different

This is the most important point for candidates targeting NMIMS. Registering for the NMAT exam does not automatically complete an NMIMS MBA application. GMAC explicitly states that NMAT registration and B-school applications are separate processes. Candidates must separately apply to the MBA programmes or institutions they want to join. 

NMIMS describes the process in two stages:

• Step 1: Complete NMAT by GMAC registration and schedule the exam.
• Step 2: Use the NMAT by GMAC ID to complete the separate NMIMS MBA application, pay the applicable NMIMS application fee and submit the form.

NMIMS states that the university application is considered complete only after this second step is successfully submitted. 

How to Complete NMAT 2026 Registration

Candidates should use the official NMAT by GMAC portal.

The process broadly involves:

1. Create or log in to the NMAT account.
2. Enter the required personal, academic and other information.
3. Upload the required photograph.
4. Select B-school preferences where applicable.
5. Review the application.
6. Submit the NMAT form.
7. Pay the registration fee.
8. Use the candidate dashboard to book the exam date, time and test centre.

GMAC states that candidates can schedule the exam after submitting the application and payment by using the Book Exam option on the dashboard. 

NMAT Test-Slot Scheduling Also Ends October 25

Completing registration is not the same as securing a test appointment. The current Important Dates & Fees page lists October 25 as both the registration and scheduling end date. GMAC advises candidates to book early because test slots are limited and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates can select their preferred exam date, time and available test centre while scheduling, subject to remaining capacity. This means waiting until October 25 could leave fewer preferred centre or time-slot options even if the registration system remains open.

NMIMS MBA 2027 Application Also Ends October 25

NMIMS currently states:

“Application Extended Till: 25th October 2026.” 

Candidates must log in using their NMAT by GMAC ID, review and complete the NMIMS application, pay the separate application fee and submit the form. 

Candidates applying to NMIMS should therefore make sure they have two confirmations:

• successful NMAT registration/scheduling;
• successful NMIMS MBA application submission.

NMAT 2026 Exam Dates

NMAT 2026 exams are scheduled to be delivered from November 2 to December 20, 2026.  After scheduling, GMAC says the admit card becomes available seven days before the scheduled exam date. Candidates need to carry the admit card along with an accepted original, valid photo ID at the test centre. 

NMAT 2026 Registration Fee

The current official NMAT fee page lists:

The NMIMS MBA application fee is separate from the NMAT exam fee. Candidates should check the amount displayed by NMIMS during their current application process rather than assuming that the NMAT fee covers both applications. 

Important for NMIMS Applicants: First NMAT Attempt Matters

Although the NMAT exam framework permits retakes, the current NMIMS MBA admissions page says that NMIMS accepts only the first-attempt score. This distinction is particularly important for candidates targeting NMIMS. They should not assume that a later, improved NMAT retake score will automatically replace the first-attempt score for NMIMS admission. Candidates should check the current-cycle NMIMS admission rules again before appearing for the exam.

GMAC Website Currently Shows Conflicting Deadline Information

Candidates may encounter different dates on different GMAC pages.

The dedicated Important Dates & Fees page currently lists:

• registration end: October 25
• scheduling end: October 25. 

However, GMAC's broader NMAT landing page still displays earlier dates October 10 for registration and October 22 for scheduling.  Because of this inconsistency, candidates should use the latest Important Dates & Fees page and their live candidate dashboard before making deadline-sensitive decisions.

What Should Candidates Do Before October 25?

Candidates planning to take NMAT should:

• finish NMAT registration;
• complete payment;
• schedule an available test slot;
• save registration and scheduling confirmations;
• check the scheduled test date and centre.

Candidates targeting NMIMS should additionally:

• complete the separate NMIMS MBA application;
• pay the applicable NMIMS application fee;
• confirm that Step 2 has been successfully submitted;
• retain the NMIMS submission/payment confirmation.

Do not wait for a specific late-night cutoff because the official public deadline pages cited here do not state a closing hour.
