National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a notice. It has opened the NEET PG 2026 selective edit window for aspirants. The window is active on the official website, natboard.edu.in. Candidates have until August 10, 2026, to correct any missing or poor quality documents. The correction period lasts for 11 days in total. NEET PG is the top postgraduate medical entrance exam in India. It is the gateway to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses. This facility is for candidates who were flagged during the image check. Only three files can be corrected: the photograph, signature, and left thumb impression. No other details like personal information, category, test city preferences, or academic details can be changed during this time. The board has made this correction option only for image quality issues.

What Can Be Corrected?

NBEMS has listed three specific documents that can be fixed. Any other request will not be processed.

  • Photograph that was not up to the required standard
  • Signature that did not meet image quality criteria
  • Left thumb impression that was marked as invalid

Who Is Eligible for the Selective Edit Window?

Only a specific group of candidates can use this correction facility. NBEMS has clearly defined the eligibility criteria.

  • Candidates who have completed their NEET PG 2026 application
  • Those flagged for image deficiencies during NBEMS evaluation
  • Candidates who received an email notice
  • Candidates whose images passed scrutiny do not need to log in.

The board hasn’t opened the window for full form edits. Only image-related corrections are allowed here.

How to Correct Deficient Images?

NBEMS has placed the correction tool inside the applicant's dashboard. Candidates need to follow these steps to upload new images.

  • Go to the official website, natboard.edu.in
  • Log in with your NEET PG 2026 registered credentials
  • Open the Image Scrutiny tab on the applicant dashboard
  • Review the image that was flagged by the board
  • Upload a new file that meets NBEMS requirements
  • Save your changes before the August 10 deadline

What Should the New Files Look Like?

NBEMS has set strict guidelines for image submission in NEET PG 2026. Candidates should check the image upload rules before uploading.

  • Clear photograph with the face fully visible and centered
  • Signature written in flowing script on white paper
  • Left thumb impression that is neat and complete
  • Files in the correct format and size as specified by NBEMS
  • Exact specifications are given in the NEET PG 2026 information brochure.

Candidates can download this from the official portal. Checking the rules before upload helps avoid rejection.

What If You Missed the Deficiency Alert?

Some candidates might not have received the email notice yet. NBEMS advises checking your dashboard for a scrutiny status.

  • Log in to the applicant portal at natboard.edu.in
  • Look for a red flag or Image Scrutiny alert
  • Call the NBEMS helpdesk if the status is unclear
