The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added a new document requirement for NRI candidates in NEET PG 2026 counselling. Through a corrigendum dated 14 October 2026, Round 1 applicants in Category I and Category IV must submit a valid passport of a parent, real brother, real sister, or sponsor. The document is needed during both registration and verification, on top of the documents already listed in the PG Bulletin.
Key highlights
- Issued by: MCC
- Document: valid passport of the parent, real brother, real sister or sponsor
- Who must submit: NRI applicants in Category I and Category IV, Round 1
- When: during registration and verification
- Registration closes: 21 October 2026, 12:00 noon
- Payment closes: 21 October 2026, 3:00 PM (MCC server time)
What the Corrigendum Changes
The corrigendum adds one item to the existing list. Candidates must still submit every document already required under the PG Information Bulletin. The new passport requirement comes in addition to that list, not in place of any of it.
Who Is Affected
The requirement applies to Round 1 NRI applicants in Category I and Category IV. Candidates in other quotas or categories are not covered by this notice. The source does not say how the passport of each relative or sponsor maps to each category, so applicants should read the corrigendum text before registering [VERIFY].
