The University of Mumbai (MU) has released its third merit list for undergraduate course admissions 2026 today, June 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The admission list has been posted on the respective official websites of all affiliated colleges. Shortlisted candidates must complete document verification and fee payment between June 5 and June 9, 2026. Students can track the latest updates and access their respective college merit lists through the official admission portal at muugadmission.samarth.edu.in.
What the Third Merit List Contains
The MU third merit list 2026 includes the names of shortlisted candidates, application numbers, category details, and the cutoff percentages for each course. Courses witnessing high competition this year include BCom, BMS, BAF, BA, BSc IT, BSc Computer Science, and BA Psychology. Cutoffs in the third round are expected to drop compared to earlier rounds, particularly for colleges where seats remain vacant after the first two rounds.
How to Download the Mumbai University Merit List
Students can check their status by visiting the official website of the college they applied to during the choice-filling stage. On the college's notice board or admissions page, they should look for the Third Merit List link, click on it, and download the PDF. Alternatively, students can visit muugadmission.samarth.edu.in and navigate to the UG Admission section for centralised updates.
Documents Required for Verification
Selected candidates must report to their respective colleges during the document verification window from June 5 to June 9, 2026. The documents required include Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, a valid government-issued photo ID, caste certificate where applicable, transfer certificate and migration certificate, and recent passport-sized photographs.
Important Admission Reminder
Being selected in the merit list does not automatically guarantee admission. Students must complete both the document verification process and the fee payment within the stipulated deadline. Failure to do so may result in the seat being cancelled or offered to the next candidate on the list.
Other Key Updates
Mumbai University UG classes are scheduled to commence from June 13, 2026. The university has also announced that 15 percent of seats in all affiliated colleges, including minority colleges, will be reserved under the Management Quota. Students whose names do not appear in the third merit list need not lose hope, as additional lists may be released by individual colleges to fill vacant seats.
Additionally, the University of Mumbai LLM CET 2026 is scheduled for June 12, 2026, and will be conducted in two batches — 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Hall tickets will be available one week before the examination through candidate login on mu.ac.in.
