What is MICAT?
MICAT is the entrance examination conducted by MICA for its postgraduate programmes. MICA's official admissions information states that MICAT is a computer-based test conducted twice a year, through MICAT I and MICAT II. Candidates may take both attempts and the better score is considered.
MICA's School of Management offers the PGDM-C and PGDM programmes. The institute describes the MICAT as an assessment that goes beyond conventional entrance-test measures, with components assessing creativity, analytical ability and written communication.
Can Candidates Appear for Both MICAT I and MICAT II?
Yes. Candidates can appear for both MICAT attempts. MICA states that applicants may take MICAT I and MICAT II, with the better of the two MICAT scores considered for evaluation.
This gives candidates another opportunity to improve their performance if they are not satisfied with their first attempt.
MICAT 2027 Admission Process
For MICA's School of Management, the admission process involves multiple stages. MICA currently describes the process as:
Submit a CAT, XAT or GMAT score.
Appear for MICAT I and/or MICAT II.
Candidates shortlisted through the selection process participate in the Group Exercise and Personal Interview (GE-PI) stage.
Final selection is made based on the applicable admission criteria.
Therefore, candidates planning for MICA's PGDM-C or PGDM programmes should not treat MICAT as the only component of the admission process.
