The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially activated the application form correction window for MHT CET 2026 starting today, March 5, 2026. This is a crucial opportunity for engineering aspirants who may have committed errors during the initial registration process for the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) groups. Candidates can access the edit facility through the official portal at cetcell.mahacet.org.

The correction window is strictly available for a limited time, closing on March 7, 2026. This facility is open only to those candidates who have successfully completed their registration and paid the requisite examination fee. Since the admit card and final merit list for engineering admissions will be based on these details, students are advised to review their forms with utmost care.

What Details Can You Edit?

The CET Cell has specified that only certain fields are open for modification. It is important to note that primary contact details, such as the registered email ID and mobile number, cannot be changed.

The editable fields include:

  • Candidate’s Name: Correcting spelling errors or sequence.
  • Date of Birth: Ensuring it matches your secondary school certificates.
  • Photograph and Signature: Re-uploading if the previous files were blurry or didn't meet specifications.
  • Gender: Adjusting if wrongly selected.
  • Group Addition: Candidates can choose to add a group (e.g., adding PCB if they only selected PCM).
  • Add Second Attempt: Since MHT CET 2026 will be conducted in two sessions, students can opt to add a second attempt during this window.

Step-by-Step Guide to Form Correction

To make changes, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official MAHACET website: cetcell.mahacet.org.
  2. Click on the "MHT CET 2026 Correction Window" link on the homepage.
  3. Log in using your registered email ID and password.
  4. Navigate to your application form and click on the "Edit" button.
  5. Make the necessary changes and verify them twice.
  6. Submit the form and download the updated confirmation page.

MHT CET 2026 Examination Schedule

This year, the state-level entrance exam has recorded an all-time high of over 11.43 lakh registrations, attributed to the introduction of a two-attempt system similar to JEE Main. The first session for the PCM group is scheduled from April 11 to April 19, 2026, followed by the second session from May 14 to May 17, 2026.

The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in two shifts:

  • Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Final Reminder for Aspirants

Submitting incorrect data can lead to serious complications during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds. If your name or category on the admit card does not match your official documents, you may be disqualified from the seat allotment process. Therefore, ensure that your photo is clear and your signature is legible.
