MHT-CET 2026 candidates in Maharashtra are beginning a structured revision plan as the April PCM group exam dates approach. The State Common Entrance Test Cell has confirmed the PCM group examinations will run from April 11 to April 19, 2026. This period marks a high-intensity study window where students focus on the state board curriculum which carries significant weightage.

As the month of February ends, MHT-CET 2026 candidates across Maharashtra are transitioning into a "structured revision" phase. With the primary registration window closed earlier this month, the focus is now entirely on the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group examinations. The State Common Entrance Test Cell has scheduled the first session of these engineering tests to commence on April 11, 2026.

Revision Strategies and Syllabus Focus

The MHT-CET is unique in its heavy reliance on the Maharashtra State Board curriculum. For the 2026 session, 80% of the questions will be derived from the Class 12 syllabus, making textbook mastery the top priority for aspirants during the upcoming month.

  • Candidates are currently focusing on the Mathematics section, which carries 100 marks and serves as the primary differentiator in the final percentile calculation.
  • Revision plans are incorporating daily practice of previous years' papers to master the 90-minute time allocation for each of the two exam blocks.
  • The State CET Cell has mandated the use of the APAAR ID for all 2026 candidates, which must be correctly linked to their hall tickets.

Admit Card and Hall Ticket Timelines

The MHT-CET admit cards for the PCM group are expected to be released in the first week of April. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official portal, detailing their specific shift timing and the designated exam center.

  • A normalization process will be applied across the multiple shifts of the April and May sessions to ensure a fair merit list for top engineering colleges.
  • Candidates are urged to monitor the State CET portal for the release of the "mock test" facility, which simulates the computer-based testing environment.
  • The following table outlines the 2026 MHT-CET examination schedule:
Exam GroupSession 1 DatesSession 2 Dates
PCM (Engineering)April 11 – 19, 2026May 14 – 17, 2026
PCB (Pharmacy)April 21 – 26, 2026May 10 – 11, 2026

Conclusion

In conclusion, the start of March 2026 marks the beginning of the ultimate revision window for MHT-CET aspirants. With the April examinations approaching, the focus remains on local board mastery and consistent mock testing to secure a high percentile for Maharashtra engineering colleges.
