If you sat for the Maharashtra Nursing CET back in May and have been waiting to hear what comes next, the wait is over

NLP Concept Illustration

If you sat for the Maharashtra Nursing CET back in May and have been waiting to hear what comes next, the wait is over. The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Mumbai has opened Centralised Admission Process (CAP) registration for MH Nursing CET 2026, and candidates can now apply on the official portal for First Year B.Sc Nursing and GNM seats for the 2026-27 academic year.

Who Can Actually Register

This isn't open to everyone — only candidates who appeared for MH Nursing CET 2026 on May 6 and 7, with results declared on June 11, are eligible to register for CAP. If you sat the exam and got a result, this is your next step.

The Full CAP Schedule

The timeline runs across several weeks and covers everything from registration to the second allotment round. Here's how it breaks down:

CAP Round 2 resultSeptember 24, 2026
Physical joining — Round 2Sept 25 – Sept 29, 2026

It's a long process, but every step feeds directly into the next, so missing an early deadline can knock a candidate out of contention for later rounds.

What Registration Will Cost You

CategoryFee
Open (General) & EWSRs 1,000
SC & STRs 800
PwD & OrphanRs 800

This fee is non-refundable, so it's worth having your documents sorted before you pay rather than after.

How to Register

  1. Visit cetcell.mahacet.org and open the Nursing 2026 login page.
  2. Create a new candidate profile with a valid mobile number and email ID.
  3. Enter your MH Nursing CET 2026 application number and personal details.
  4. Fill in academic qualifications, category, and domicile details.
  5. Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the prescribed format.
  6. Pay the fee online via net banking, card, or UPI.
  7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

Documents to Keep Ready

  • MH Nursing CET 2026 scorecard and admit card
  • Class 10 and 12 marksheets and certificates
  • School leaving certificate
  • Maharashtra domicile certificate
  • Aadhaar card and APAAR ID
  • Category certificate (reserved categories)
  • Non-Creamy Layer certificate (OBC candidates)
  • PwD certificate, if applicable
  • Recent photograph and signature

If you don't already have an APAAR ID, it can be generated through DigiLocker — worth doing this early rather than scrambling right before the upload deadline.

Why This Window Matters

CAP registration is the only route into government and government-aided nursing seats in Maharashtra. Clearing the entrance test isn't enough on its own — candidates who skip this registration window lose their shot at a State CAP seat entirely, regardless of how well they scored.

With registration, fee payment, and document upload spread across slightly different deadlines, candidates are better off treating late August and early September as a single continuous task rather than three separate ones — and checking medical2026.mahacet.org regularly for the merit list and choice-filling updates that follow.
