Published 24 Oct 20262 min read

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has completed the regular CAP rounds and extended institute-level admission process for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses for 2026. As of October 24, no fresh counselling schedule has been announced.
The 5-year LLB Round 3 seat allotment was released on September 18, while the 3-year LLB Round 3 allotment was announced on September 20. Colleges subsequently conducted institute-level admission rounds to fill vacant seats.
For 5-year LLB, registration and choice filling for the extended institute-level round took place on October 7 and 8. Colleges published their merit lists on October 9, and the admission process closed on October 10.
For 3-year LLB, the extended round began on October 8. Registration closed on October 9, merit lists were published on October 10, and selected candidates were required to report to their allotted colleges between October 10 and 12.
The CET Cell had also reopened registration for 3-year LLB admissions until October 1. The course-specific admission portals listed 212 approved colleges for 3-year LLB and 162 colleges for 5-year LLB.
Will MH CET Law 2026 Counselling Restart?
The CET Cell has not announced another CAP or institute-level counselling round following the extended admission process. With the scheduled admission activities completed, another round appears unlikely unless the authority issues a fresh notification.
However, candidates seeking admission should continue to check the official website for updates. They can also contact their preferred law colleges to enquire about vacant seats and any admission opportunities permitted under the applicable rules.
Candidates should visit cetcell.mahacet.org for official notifications. The course-specific portals are llb3cap26.mahacet.org for 3-year LLB and llb5cap26.mahacet.org for 5-year LLB.
Aspirants should keep their MH CET Law scorecards, qualifying examination marksheets and identity documents ready in case further admission instructions are issued. Any decision to reopen counselling will be confirmed through an official notice from the CET Cell.
