MET 2027 Registration: Portal Active at manipal.edu, Application Form Awaited

Keep your signature scan within the size limit in the application form, and compress it if it is larger. The size limit reported for the signature is 20 KB to 100 KB

• Multiple Choice Questions: 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. Each correct answer earns 4 marks, and unanswered questions score 0.
• Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions: No marks are deducted for incorrect answers.

The pattern below is the BTech pattern in the latest version I could confirm. The exam is a computer-based test with a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes), made up of MCQs and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Total marks: 240

Marking scheme:

• MCQs: +4 for each correct answer, −1 for each incorrect answer, and 0 for unanswered questions.
• NAT: +4 for each correct answer, with no negative marking.

Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 12, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or an equivalent exam.

Subjects:

• Compulsory: Physics, Mathematics and English
• Optional (any one): Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or a technical vocational subject

Marks: At least 50% in Physics, Mathematics and any one optional subject taken together.

Once you have submitted the application form, book your slot on the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) portal:

1. Log in with your MET application number and date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.
2. Change your password if you want to.
3. Select an available exam slot.
4. Confirm the slot.

Mandatory:

• Personal details: name, date of birth, gender and contact information
• Academic details: school, board, year of passing and subjects
• Scanned photograph and signature

Optional:

• Preferred courses selection
• Additional remarks, if any

Review the form carefully before you submit it:

• Check every entry. A correction facility may not be available.
• Register only once. Each candidate should submit a single application.
• Pay online only. Offline fee payment and paper forms are not accepted.

Pay the application fee online by net banking, credit card or debit card once all form sections are complete. The fee is about ₹800 [VERIFY].

When the MET 2027 application form opens, keep these ready for upload:

• Recent passport-size photograph in JPEG or PNG format
• Clear scan of your signature in JPEG or PNG format
• Class 12 mark sheet and any other required certificates

Check that every scan is clear and meets the size and format rules before you submit the form.

The MET paper has four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. The topics below are commonly recommended by portals, not an official MAHE list.

To register at manipal.edu, candidates will need to provide their name, email address, valid mobile number, state, district, programme applying for, stream, and campus or location. Some portals also list pincode [VERIFY]. This list is based on earlier cycles, as the 2027 form is not yet live. 

Portals report the MET application fee as ₹800. MAHE has not confirmed the 2027 amount, and some courses carry a separate entrance test fee. Check manipal.edu when registration opens. 

Once registration opens, candidates who forget their password can reset it from manipal.edu:

1. Go to manipal.edu and click the application form link. 
2. Click “Forgot Password.”
3. Enter the registered email address.
4. Use the reset link sent to that email to set a new password.

The expected application steps include selecting preferred exam centres in order of preference. Seats are subject to availability. In the previous cycle, candidates with complete applications could book test slots only through the Online Test Booking System, based on slot availability. The registration link is not yet confirmed, so check manipal.edu for the 2027 process. 

For B.Tech admission through MET, candidates need to pass in Class 12, A-Levels, IB, American 12th grade, or an equivalent exam. Physics, Mathematics, and English must be compulsory subjects, with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a technical vocational subject as the optional subject. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required in Physics, Mathematics, and the optional subject. These are based on previous cycles, and MAHE will soon release the official 2027 criteria on manipal.edu. 

MET 2027 registration is expected on manipal.edu, tentatively in the first week of October 2026, but MAHE has not announced official registration dates. Candidates should watch manipal.edu for the “Apply Now” link. 

The MET 2027 application fee must be paid online, through net banking, credit card, or debit card. No offline payment will be accepted. Some portals also list UPI and Paytm [VERIFY on manipal.edu]. MAHE has yet to announce the official registration dates. 

MAHE has not announced the MET 2027 exam dates. The Manipal Entrance Test is held in two phases. Based on past trends, Phase 1 is expected in April 2027 and Phase 2 in May 2027. Some portals give narrower windows, such as the third week of April and the last week of May, but these are tentative. Confirmed dates will appear on manipal.edu.

No. An Aadhaar card is not mandatory for MET registration. However, it will be needed as valid ID proof at the examination.

No. Exam slots cannot be selected during registration. Candidates will choose their preferred slot once the MET slot booking facility opens.

The MET 2027 registration fee is INR 800. Candidates applying for selected courses must also pay an entrance test fee of INR 1,200.

• Intermediate, Senior Secondary or Higher Secondary examinations from approved Boards in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal
