Who Can Participate?
Fresh registration and fresh choice filling are permitted for the online stray-vacancy round. Candidates must meet the applicable NEET UG and institution or quota eligibility conditions.
- The MCC bulletin says the following candidates are not eligible:
- Candidates who do not register for the stray-vacancy round.
- Candidates who have joined or are holding a seat at the time of the stray round.
- Candidates who received an MCC Round 3 allotment but did not report to the allotted institute.
- Other candidates can participate subject to the applicable eligibility rules and the data shared between MCC and state counselling authorities.
Important Allotment Rule
Candidates should fill only those choices they are prepared to accept. According to the MCC bulletin, a candidate allotted a seat in the stray-vacancy round must join the allotted institute. Failure to join will lead to forfeiture of the security deposit, and the candidate will not be allowed to participate in further rounds.
MCC and state authorities share allotment data to remove candidates who are already holding a seat through either the central or state counselling process.
How to Register and Fill Choices
- Visit the official MCC UG Medical Counselling page.
- Open the new-registration link under the Candidate Activity Board.
- Complete the required registration details and submit the applicable payment before the deadline.
- Log in to the counselling account and open the choice-filling facility.
- Check the current seat matrix and arrange choices in the preferred order.
- Lock the choices within the official locking window and save the submitted details for reference.
- Check the allotment result on October 17 and follow the reporting instructions if a seat is allotted.
If the direct candidate link returns a temporary error, candidates should retry through the main MCC UG counselling page rather than using an unofficial link. MCC lists the counselling helpline numbers as 0120-4073500 and 1800-102-7637.
