MCC NEET UG 2026 Counselling: Schedule Expected Soon at mcc.nic.in; Registration Process, Documents & Top MBBS Colleges
Published 27 Jul 20263 min read
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the NEET UG 2026 counselling schedule shortly on its official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 will soon be able to register for counselling through the MCC portal. While a detailed round 1 timetable has not yet been released, the registration process is likely to begin in the coming days.
What MCC Counselling Covers
MCC conducts centralized counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats, along with admissions to AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities, deemed universities, ESIC medical colleges, AFMC and other participating institutions. Seat allotment is based on candidates' All India Rank (AIR) in NEET UG along with the preferences they submit during the choice-filling process.
Where to Check Updates
Candidates are advised to keep monitoring the official MCC website regularly, as it will carry all authentic updates on the counselling schedule, registration window, choice filling, seat allotment results and other important notifications. The official site remains mcc.nic.in.
Registration Process Once the Schedule Is Announced
Once MCC releases the counselling schedule, eligible candidates will need to complete several steps online. These include registration on the MCC portal, payment of the counselling fee, uploading of required details, filling and locking of college and course choices, participation in seat allotment, and finally reporting to the allotted institute.
Steps to Register for MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026
- Visit the official MCC website
- Click on the UG Medical Counselling 2026 link
- Register using NEET UG 2026 application details
- Fill in personal and academic information
- Pay the counselling fee online
- Complete choice filling by selecting colleges and courses

Expected Counselling Rounds
MCC is expected to conduct NEET UG 2026 counselling across multiple rounds, likely comprising Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round to fill any seats that remain vacant after the earlier rounds.
Documents to Keep Ready
Candidates should prepare the following documents in advance so that registration and verification proceed smoothly once the schedule is out:
- NEET UG 2026 admit card
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard
- Class 10 certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
- Photo ID proof
- Passport-size photographs
- Category certificate, where applicable
- PwD certificate, where applicable
- Domicile certificate
Things to Keep in Mind
Since the entire process, from registration to seat allotment, is conducted online, candidates should ensure they have reliable internet access at every stage. Choices, once saved, can be edited until the locking deadline, after which any unlocked preferences may be auto-locked as per MCC's rules. Candidates should also verify all entered details carefully, since corrections may only be possible within a limited window. Reporting to the allotted institute within the specified deadline is essential, as missing it could lead to cancellation of the allotted seat. Candidates are encouraged to register early once the window opens, to avoid last-minute technical glitches and allow sufficient time for careful choice filling.
