How to Fill Choices for JEECUP 2026 Round 4 Counselling

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the choice filling process:

1. Visit the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in
2. Click on the 'Round 4 Choice Filling' link
3. Log in using the application form number and password
4. Add, remove, or edit choices of courses and colleges according to preference
5. Review all entered choices carefully before final submission
6. Download and print the confirmation page after submission, for future reference

Candidates should note that courses and colleges must be arranged strictly in order of preference, since this ranking directly influences which option they are allotted based on their merit rank.

Who Can Participate in Round 4

JEECUP 2026 Round 4 counselling is open to all qualified candidates, whether from Uttar Pradesh or other states. This includes both candidates who are registering fresh for this round and those who registered earlier but have not yet been admitted to any course or college. In other words, candidates don't need to have participated in every previous round to be eligible for Round 4 — as long as they remain unadmitted and qualified, they can take part.

How Seat Allotment Will Work

Once choice filling closes on July 29, JEECUP will process the Round 4 seat allotment based on three factors: the candidate's merit rank, the preferences submitted during choice filling, and the availability of seats across participating courses and colleges. This makes the order in which choices are filled particularly important, since a well-thought-out preference list improves the chances of securing a preferred course or college within a candidate's merit rank.

What Candidates Should Do Now

With just a couple of days left before choice filling closes, candidates are advised to log in to jeecup.admissions.nic.in at the earliest and avoid waiting until the last day, since heavy traffic on the portal closer to the deadline could cause delays. It's worth taking time to research the cutoff trends of preferred colleges and courses before finalizing the order of preference, since choices once submitted after the deadline cannot be modified. Candidates should also keep their login credentials handy and download the confirmation page immediately after submission, so they have a reference in hand ahead of the July 30 seat allotment.
