JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Exam Dates
Session 1 is scheduled for 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 January 2027, with 31 January kept as a buffer date. These dates come from NTA's exam calendar and are tentative, so they may change. Details will be published through the information brochure and public notices on the official website.
When Will JEE Main 2027 Registration Start?
Registration has opened at the end of October or on 1 November in each of the last three cycles:

What to Keep Ready Before You Apply
Check your Aadhaar details first. Last cycle, NTA advised candidates to make sure their name, date of birth, gender, photograph and address were correctly updated for Aadhaar authentication. Aadhaar was not the only option, as candidates without it could use alternative government IDs.
Keep these ready:
- Class 10 certificate or marksheet and academic details
- Valid Aadhaar or other permitted ID proof
- Recent photograph and signature
- Category/EWS certificate, if applicable
- PwD/UDID certificate, if applicable
- Active mobile number and email ID
- Details needed for online fee payment
Who Can Apply for JEE Main 2027?
Based on the rules NTA has followed so far:
- Class 12 in 2027: students appearing in 2027 can apply.
- Class 12 passed: candidates who passed in 2025 or 2026 can apply.
- Age: there is no age limit for JEE Main, though institutes may set their own age requirements for admission.
- Attempts: candidates who have not used all three attempts across three consecutive years can apply.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 1
- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in once the registration link is active.
- Click the Session 1 registration link and create an account with your personal details, mobile number and email ID.
- Log in with the generated credentials and fill in personal, academic and communication details.
- Choose your paper: Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), or any combination.
- Select your preferred exam cities from the options NTA provides.
- Upload your photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format and size.
- Pay the fee through the available online modes.
- Check every detail carefully before final submission.
- Submit the form, then download the confirmation page and fee receipt.
NTA has advised candidates to submit only one application.
