What Happens After the Result Is Out?

After the result is announced, all the eligible candidates need to get ready for the JoSAA counselling, which is set to start in the first week of June. During this counselling process, all candidates will have the opportunity to select their preferred IITs, branches, and courses. The allocation of seats will take place in multiple rounds, and this will depend on factors such as the candidates' ranks, their category, the choices they have filled, and the number of seats available.

List of Participating Institutes

All 23 IITs are involved in the admission process through JoSAA counselling. In addition to the IITs, institutions such as IISc Bangalore and various other renowned engineering colleges also use the JEE Advanced result for certain undergraduate programmes.

Important Instructions

Candidates are advised to download and save their scorecards as soon as possible. They should carefully check all the details mentioned on the scorecard. With counselling starting soon, it is essential for the candidates to have their certificates and identity proofs ready.

Note

If it is confirmed that the result was announced late on May 31, 2026, then the sentence can be written like this:

The result of IIT Roorkee's JEE Advanced 2026 was declared late on May 31, 2026, which is earlier than the previous announcement of June 1. If there is no such information, it would be better to use the official result date mentioned above.
