FIITJEE Case: ED Files Complaint Over Alleged Misuse of Student Fees

The Enforcement Directorate says it filed a prosecution complaint against FIITJEE Limited and directors Dinesh Kumar Goel and Monila Goel on 15 October 2026, over alleged money laundering linked to student fees. The complaint was filed before the Special PMLA Court in Ghaziabad. In its dated release, the ED says it has sought conviction and confiscation of ₹71.88 crore in seized and provisionally attached properties. These are requests made by the investigating agency, not a conviction announced by the court.
What does the ED allege?
The agency says its investigation followed police cases in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh concerning advance coaching fees and the failure to deliver promised programmes. According to the ED, 32 centres closed between May 2024 and February 2025, affecting 14,411 enrolled students. The release alleges that fees continued to be collected despite problems in delivering the courses. These remain the agency’s allegations; the release says further investigation is continuing.
What does this mean for students seeking refunds?
The release does not announce a student-refund order or a repayment timetable. The filing should therefore not be treated as confirmation that refunds have been approved or that a particular payment date has been fixed. Affected families should keep fee receipts, bank-payment records, enrolment agreements, course commitments and written correspondence together. Preserve acknowledgements of any complaints already submitted so that the record can be followed consistently.
