IIT Mandi Opens IMBA Admissions 2026: Apply by May 15 for Dual Degree in Data Science & AI via JEE Main Scores

The admission procedure for the IIT Mandi School of Management’s five-year IMBA program has commenced for the 2026-2031 intake year

The admission procedure for the IIT Mandi School of Management’s five-year IMBA program has commenced for the 2026-2031 intake year. The deadline for submitting applications starts from 15 April 2026 and ends on 15 May 2026 at 5:00 PM. Applicants have to apply for the course online by visiting the portal iitmandiadm.samarth.edu.in/imba/. Dual degrees will be awarded to the successful applicants, such as BBA Analytics (Honors) and MBA Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. Minimum eligibility criteria for the program include that the candidates should have scored 75 percent marks in Class 12 or an equivalent examination with 65 percent marks for candidates from Scheduled  Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Physically Challenged categories. Compulsory subjects for Class 12 are mathematics and English. They should have written the JEE (Main) 2026 Paper I exam and secured a qualifying mark as per the category-wise cutoff for the JEE (Advanced) 2026 exam. 

Shortlisting will be done among applicants according to their NTA scores in JEE Main Paper 1 2026. Interview invites for the selected applicants will be provided via email. A composite score will be used to determine the final merit list for admissions at IIT Mandi. The weightage of 70% will be for the JEE (Main) exam score, and 30% will be for the personal interview. Application fees for general, OBC and EWS male candidates should pay Rs. 2,400, while female candidates need to pay Rs. 1,200. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories will have to make the payment of Rs. 1,200 regardless of their gender. For foreign students, students from SAARC nations will pay USD 100, and those from outside the SAARC nations will have to pay USD 200. 

The IMBA program offered by IIT Mandi School of Management has a future-oriented curriculum where fundamental managerial theories are interwoven with analytics, data sciences, and artificial intelligence. The students are provided practical industry exposure through two internship programs, one of which is for six months. Further, there are several exit opportunities available to the students, as they may either exit after completing three years with a BBA Analytics degree or four years with a BBA Analytics (Honors) degree. Moreover, budding entrepreneurs may take a sabbatical break of one year to develop their start-up ideas.

Admitted candidates are expected to confirm their admission and submit the specified fee payment by July 2, 2026. If this is not done within the specified time limit, the admission offer shall stand cancelled and the seat allotted to the next available candidate from the waiting list. The selected candidates have been advised to visit the institute campus physically on July 25, 2026, for completing the process of admission formalities. Incomplete applications shall be treated as invalid, while misrepresenting any data shall cause the candidacy to be cancelled.
