Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete the required formalities, including payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF), by September 3, 2026. Candidates who fail to pay the fee within the deadline will lose their allotted seats and will not be able to claim them later in the admission process.

What Are Freeze and Accept & Float Options?

Candidates allotted seats must select one of the available options before proceeding with the Seat Acceptance Fee payment.

Freeze

The Freeze option means the candidate accepts the currently allotted seat as final. After choosing this option, the candidate will not be considered for a higher-preference seat in subsequent rounds.

Accept and Float

The Accept and Float option allows candidates to accept the current seat while remaining eligible to be considered for a higher-preference seat in the next round. Candidates should carefully choose the option based on their preferred institute and course.

How to Pay the IISER Seat Acceptance Fee?

Candidates can pay the Seat Acceptance Fee through their candidate dashboard. The payment must be completed by September 3, 2026.

Steps to Pay the SAF

1. Log in to the IISER admission portal.
2. Select Freeze or Accept and Float for the allotted seat.
3. Click on the relevant payment link on the dashboard.
4. Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
5. Download and save the payment receipt.
6. Download the updated admission offer letter.
