This includes paying the necessary admission fee to confirm the seat. Failing to complete this step on time may lead to cancellation of the offer, so candidates are advised to stay attentive and follow instructions carefully. .

A Balanced Selection Process

Admission to IIM Bangalore is not just about scoring high in the CAT. The institute follows a holistic selection process that evaluates candidates on multiple parameters.

The final selection is based on a composite score, where:

• CAT 2025 score carries 40% weightage
• GD/PI performance also contributes 40%
• The remaining weightage is given to academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors

This approach ensures that candidates are selected not only for their academic abilities but also for their overall personality and potential.

Cutoffs Highlight the Competition

The level of competition at IIM Bangalore remains extremely high. Based on previous admission data (2025–27 batch), the General category cutoff was around 59.68, while candidates from EWS and NC-OBC categories needed scores close to 47–48. Cutoffs for SC and ST categories were comparatively lower but still reflect the institute’s rigorous standards.
