IIM Amritsar MBA Selection Process Overview
IIM Amritsar uses a two-stage selection process for its MBA program. In the first stage, candidates are selected based on their CAT 2025 sectional and overall percentiles. Those who meet the requirements are invited for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
- For the pre-PI score, CAT is given 50% weightage, while work experience is 15%. Class 10, Class 12, and gender diversity each have 10% weightage, and graduation scores account for the remaining 5%.
- For the post-PI score, the personal interview has the highest weightage at 70%. Work experience, gender diversity, and academic diversity are each given 10% weightage. The final composite score is calculated by combining 70% of the pre-PI score and 30% of the post-PI score.
About the IIM Amritsar MBA Program
The MBA program at IIM Amritsar is a two-year full-time residential course in general management. It is divided into six terms, with a summer internship planned between the first and second year. IIM Amritsar is one of the newer Indian Institutes of Management set up under the IIM Act, 2017.
