Along with it, the announcement includes cutoff ranks and the seat breakup by category for Round 1. Option entry starts on July 21, 2026. Eligible candidates are required to freeze their selections no later than July 24, 2026. The initial seat allocation outcome will be issued on July 28, 2026. This counseling process applies to UG and PG courses for the 2026-27 academic year.

Who Can Apply for Round 1 Counseling?

Participation in Round 1 is limited to those who qualified in GBPUAT 2026. For the selected course, their rank must be within the published cutoff. The category-based seat chart has been released together with the timetable. Applicants are advised to have their entrance rank card and category document prepared. Concessions for reserved groups will be granted according to university norms. Domicile details will be checked when candidates report.

GBPUAT 2026-27 Counselling Charges

For UG and PG, a counseling charge of Rs 500 is required. For MCA, the counseling charge is Rs 2000. The payment is to be completed online via the official student portal. UG and PG admissions also require an upfront course payment of Rs 5000. MCA applicants do not need to pay this advance amount. This payment must be completed during the choice entry period.

The choice entry window begins on July 21 on the university admissions portal. Use the steps below to confirm your preferences before the window closes.

1. Go to gbpuat.org.in on the official website.
2. Sign in using your GBPUAT 2026 application ID along with your password.
3. Access the Round 1 counselling section and review every instruction.
4. Pick programmes and campuses in the sequence you prefer.
5. Complete the counselling fee payment through net banking, UPI, or card.
6. Store and finalize the submitted choice list by July 24, 2026.

Which documents are required for GBPUAT counselling?

Candidates should prepare scanned versions of the documents listed below. After allotment, originals will be checked during reporting at the campus.

1. GBPUAT 2026 rank card plus admit card.
2. Mark sheets and certificates for Class 10 and Class 12.
3. SC, ST, OBC, or EWS category certificate, as relevant.
4. Domicile certificate, if it applies.
5. Latest passport-size photos and a valid photo identity proof.
6. Receipts for counselling and advance fee payments.
