Candidates who have successfully qualified in GBPUAT 2026 must finalize their choices by July 24, 2026. The first results of seat allocation will be announced on July 28, 2026. This counseling process is for UG and PG programs for the academic session 2026-27.

Who Is Eligible for Round 1 Counseling?

Only those who have qualified in the GBPUAT 2026 exam are eligible for the first round of counseling. Their ranks must be within the cutoff for the course they are interested in. The seat distribution according to categories is also announced along with the schedule. Applicants must have their entrance rank card and category certificate ready. Benefits based on reserved categories will be applied according to the university's rules. The domicile status will be checked when they report to the campus.

GBPUAT 2026-27 Counselling Fee

Candidates for UG and PG courses need to pay a counseling fee of Rs 500. MCA candidates have to pay Rs 2000 for the counseling fee. The payment should be made online through the official student portal. Candidates for UG and PG courses also have to pay an advance course fee of Rs 5000. MCA candidates are not required to pay this advance fee. The fee needs to be paid during the choice-filling period.

How to Fill Choices for GBPUAT Round 1 Counseling?

The choice-filling process starts on July 21 through the university's admission portal. Follow these steps to complete your preference list before the deadline.

1. Go to the official website at gbpuat.org.in.
2. Log in using your GBPUAT 2026 application ID and password.
3. Open the Round 1 counseling section and read the instructions carefully.
4. Select your preferred courses and campuses in the order you want them.
5. Pay the counseling fee using net banking, UPI, or a credit card.
6. Save and submit your final choice list before July 24, 2026.

What documents are needed for GBPUAT counseling?

Candidates should have the following documents scanned and ready. The originals will be checked when they report to the campus after being allotted a seat.

1. GBPUAT 2026 rank card and admit card.
2. Marksheets and certificates for Class 10 and Class 12.
3. Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC, or EWS candidates.
4. Domicile certificate, if required.
5. Recent passport-sized photographs and a valid photo ID.
6. Receipts for counselling and advance fee payments.
