What Does the DCECE PE Opening and Closing Rank Mean?
The opening rank indicates the highest-ranking candidate considered for a particular institute, branch or category, while the closing rank represents the last rank included within the relevant allotment range. Candidates can compare their rank with the published institute- and branch-wise figures to understand the admission range. However, the cutoff PDF should not be treated as a substitute for the individual seat allotment result. Candidates who have received a seat should refer to their allotment result or allotment letter for the institute and branch actually assigned to them.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat should complete the admission formalities within the prescribed schedule.
They should:

DCECE PE 2026 Mop-Up Round: What Candidates Should Check
Candidates should not rely only on the opening and closing rank PDF. The seat allotment result is the key document for confirming an individual allotment. The BCECEB portal separately provides the DCECE[PE] Mop-Up Round allotment result and opening/closing rank document. Candidates should therefore download both documents, verify their allotment details and complete the remaining admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.
Important Note on DCECE PE Counselling Rounds
The BCECEB website currently also lists a MOP-UP Round-2 for DCECE[PE]-2026. Therefore, the September 11 round should not be described without qualification as the final stage of the entire 2026 counselling process unless the applicable counselling notice confirms that status. Candidates should follow the latest official BCECEB notices for the status of subsequent counselling rounds.
