Now, candidates can fill in, rearrange, or change their choices on the official website at comedk.org until July 24, 2026, at 2 PM. Previously, the deadline was July 16, 2026. This extension was made because many candidates asked for more time after seeing the mock seat allotment results. The mock cut-off ranks and the final seat availability documents were made public on July 14, 2026.

Who is affected by this extension?

This change applies to all COMEDK UGET 2026 candidates who are taking part in Round 1 counselling for BTech admissions. It helps students who needed more time to look at the mock allotment results. It also helps those who did not get their choices sorted during the initial period. If a candidate leaves their choice form blank after the deadline, they will not be considered for the next counseling rounds. Candidates must select at least one valid choice to stay in the seat allotment process.

How to edit choices on the COMEDK portal?

Registered candidates can log in to their COMEDK counselling account and adjust their preference list. The system allows them to add, remove, or rearrange their choices until the deadline on July 24 at 2 PM exactly.

1. Visit the official website at comedk.org.
2. Click on the UGET 2026 counselling login link.
3. Enter your User ID and password to access your dashboard.
4. Open the choice filling section and review your current preferences.
5. Add, remove, or change college and course choices as needed.
6. Save your changes and lock your final preference list before the deadline.

Why was the deadline extended?

Round 1 choice filling started after the mock seat allotment results were released on July 14, 2026. Many candidates said they needed more time to compare the mock results with their new choices. COMEDK explained that the extension was for the convenience of the candidates and to ensure a fair process.
