Chhattisgarh has opened Round 4, the stray-vacancy round, for eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates seeking MBBS and BDS seats. Online applications close on 18 October at 5 PM, while choice filling and locking continue until 11:59 PM that night.
Two deadlines to keep separate
| Activity | Opens | Closes |
|---|---|---|
| Online application | 17 October 2026, 11 AM | 18 October 2026, 5 PM |
| Choice filling and locking | 17 October 2026, 11 AM | 18 October 2026, 11:59 PM |
The notice specifies server time. The later choice deadline does not extend the application window.
Who can participate?
The notice covers eligible new applicants and previously registered candidates who were not allotted a seat in any of the first three rounds. Other admission-rule conditions still apply; an unfilled seat is not permission for every candidate to participate. Previously registered eligible candidates must submit fresh choices. Their earlier selections have been cleared. Without new choices, they cannot receive an allotment in this round. The notice also says the NRI admission deadline has ended and those seats have been converted under the applicable rules.
Before you submit
Use the official candidate portal and read the 16 October application notice. Check each college, course and preference carefully, and keep your submitted application and locked-choice record. Applicants moving from government-only preferences to private colleges should check the additional registration-payment requirement.
Choose only institutions you would accept: the notice warns of forfeiture for specified non-joining or seat-surrender situations. Review the official Round 4 vacancy listing before making choices. This application notice does not give an allotment-result or reporting date. Follow subsequent official instructions and Only Education News for updates.
