Published 16 Oct 20262 min read7 Views

The University of Calcutta is accepting applications for first-round decentralised admission to its four-year BTech programme. The online deadline is 27 October 2026, 2 PM.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be domiciled in West Bengal and hold a WBJEE 2026 rank; JEE Main is not applicable. The notice requires regular-mode Class 12 study with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, at least 60% combined in those subjects—or 55% for the specified reserved categories—individual subject passes, and at least 30% in English. Read the complete category-specific conditions before applying.
What happens next?
The applicant list is scheduled for 28 October. Physical counselling is tentatively planned for 30–31 October at the Technology Campus, Salt Lake. Check the subsequent call-up notice before arranging travel.
How to apply
Use the official application form. It asks for WBJEE rank, domicile, academic marks, category information, and ordered course preferences, with supporting uploads. Review each entry and keep your acknowledgement.
If online submission fails, the portal provides a prescribed alternative application format. Follow the submission instructions in the notice; downloading a form alone does not complete an application.
The notice says the helpdesk service is unavailable during 16–21 October, while email contact remains available at cuadmissionbtech@gmail.com.
