Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has started the second withdrawal period for BITSAT 2026. This option is available on the official website at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. Students who have already been given a seat and are no longer interested can now apply to leave through this online process. This withdrawal option is only for those who have paid the admission fee. It is for students who no longer want the program or campus they were offered. To get a refund, students must submit a formal request on the portal.Just not showing up for the first day won't get them a refund.

What is BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal Window 2?

This is the second chance for students who have been given a seat to withdraw. It comes after Iteration 3 and before Iteration 4 of the counseling process. Any seats vacated during this time are available again in the next round, helping other students move up the waiting list.

Refund Policy for BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal

If you withdraw through the official portal, a flat fee of Rs 1,000 is taken from the admission fee you paid. The remaining amount is sent to your registered bank account. Refunds are processed after the entire 2026 admission cycle ends. Only those who apply for withdrawal within the given time will get their money back.

How to Submit a BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal Request

The process is fully online. You need your application number and password. You should log in to the same portal where you accepted your seat.

  1. Go to the official website at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.
  2. Click on the Candidate Login link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your BITSAT application number and password.
  4. On the dashboard, go to the withdrawal section.
  5. Read the refund details and confirm your withdrawal.
  6. Download the confirmation slip for your records.

Who Should Consider Withdrawing?

This option is suitable for students who have received a better admission offer elsewhere. Common reasons for withdrawal include getting a seat at an IIT, NIT, or a more preferred private institute. Students who are confident about a better offer at BITS often skip this step. Once you withdraw through the portal, the decision is final. You can’t re-enter the current cycle for that seat.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in to admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in using your BITSAT details.
  2. Check your current seat offer and look into your chances for Iteration 4.
  3. Make sure your bank account details are correct on the refund page.
  4. Submit your withdrawal request before the window closes.
  5. Save the confirmation slip and keep an eye on your refund status.
