The Commissionerate of Higher Education, Andhra Pradesh, is set to release the AP ECET 2026 Phase 1 (Round 1) seat allotment result today, July 27, after 6:00 pm. Candidates who completed their registration and web-option entry as per the AP ECET 2026 counselling schedule will be able to check their allotment status on the official portal, cap.apcfss.in.
What the Seat Allotment Involves
Allocation of engineering seats will be carried out based on the rank secured by candidates in the AP ECET exam, along with the preferences submitted during web-option entry and seat availability across colleges. Around 240 engineering colleges are participating in AP ECET 2026 counselling this year. As per the latest update, an earlier delay in the Phase 1 result had been cleared, and July 27 has now been confirmed as the revised release date.
AP ECET counselling allows diploma holders to secure lateral entry into the second year of BE/BTech programs, and this year's counselling is being conducted for a total of 55,960 seats. Among participating institutions, Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences alone offers 55 seats for Computer Science and Engineering, giving a sense of the seat distribution candidates can expect across colleges.

What Happens After Seat Allotment
Once the Phase 1 result is out, candidates allotted a seat will need to proceed with self-joining and reporting to their respective colleges, with exact dates to be announced separately. The broader AP ECET counselling process includes online registration, certificate verification, web-option entry, seat allotment, fee payment, self-reporting, and tracking of admission status, all of which are managed through the CAP portal.
Candidates are advised to keep monitoring cap.apcfss.in closely for updates on document verification schedules, reporting dates, and any further notices from the Commissionerate of Higher Education. Given that the seat allotment process is time-sensitive, having login credentials and required certificates ready in advance will help candidates complete the remaining admission steps without delay.
