AILET 2027 Registration: Common Mistakes to Avoid Before the November 10 Deadline

AILET 2027 registration is open on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in and will close on November 10, 2026. Thousands of law aspirants apply each year for a seat at National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi), and small errors in the application form — a misspelled name, a wrong exam-centre pick, an unpaid fee — regularly cost otherwise eligible candidates their chance. Here's what to watch for before you submit.

AILET 2027 Registration: Key Details

• Registration opened: August 7, 2026
• Registration closes: November 10, 2026
• AILET 2027 exam date: December 13, 2026 (single shift, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM)
• Admit card release: November 30, 2026
• Official website: nationallawuniversitydelhi.in
• Seats on offer: 120 for BA LLB (Hons.), 81 for LLM

Mistakes in Personal and Academic Details

Many candidates rush through the form and end up with errors in their name, date of birth, or category entry. Keep these checks in mind:

• Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate.
• Match your category with the certificate you hold — a mismatch can affect your eligibility check later.
• Enter Class 12 (or LLB, for LLM applicants) marks carefully; an incorrect figure can misrepresent your eligibility.
• Use an active mobile number and a working email ID — NLU Delhi sends all application updates through these two channels only, so an error here means missed alerts.

Mistakes in Document Upload

Document uploads are a common rejection point:

• Photograph and signature must follow the size and format rules on the portal — generally JPG/JPEG, under 1 MB each.
• A blurred or outdated photo, or a signature that doesn't match your current one, can cause issues during verification.
• Category, BPL, or PwD certificates (where applicable) should be uploaded in the specified format, typically under 2 MB.
• Read the file-format instructions on the portal before uploading — don't assume defaults from other exam forms.

Payment Mistakes to Avoid

• Filling the form but skipping fee payment leaves your registration incomplete — it will not be counted as submitted.
• Download and save the confirmation page immediately after payment; it's your proof of successful registration.
• Double-check your category selection before paying — application fees are generally non-refundable, even if the wrong category was chosen by mistake.
• If a payment fails or the amount is deducted without confirmation, avoid re-attempting immediately; check your registered email or the portal's payment status page first.

Exam Centre Selection Mistakes

Exam-centre preference deserves careful thought, not a last-minute pick:

• NLU Delhi does not allow exam-centre changes once the application form is submitted, in most cases.
• Choose your preferred city with care — this selection is generally final.
• The admit card will confirm your allotted centre along with exam date and reporting time; any factual error on the admit card itself can be flagged to NLU Delhi for correction.

What Happens After You Submit

NLU Delhi is expected to offer a correction window for some details after registration closes, though the exact dates for AILET 2027 have not yet been announced. [VERIFY] Based on past-year patterns, edits are typically limited — exam-centre preference, in particular, generally cannot be changed once submitted, while some personal or document-related fields may be editable during the correction period. Candidates should treat their initial submission as close to final and verify every field before paying the fee.
