According to the latest notification issued by the examination authority, admit cards for the entrance examination will be available for download from June 19, 2026, while the entrance test is scheduled to be conducted on June 27, 2026.

This year, AIIMS has introduced a significant change in the examination process by conducting the entrance test in two shifts for the first time. The decision has been taken due to the increase in the number of applicants appearing for the highly competitive nursing entrance examination across the country.

Two-Shift Examination System Introduced

For the first time, AIIMS will conduct the B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing entrance examination in two separate shifts. Candidates will be allotted either the morning or evening session based on the examination authority's allocation process. Applicants will not have the option to choose their preferred shift.

The allotted examination shift, reporting time, examination center details, and important instructions will be mentioned on the admit card. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details immediately after downloading the hall ticket.

To ensure fairness among candidates appearing in different sessions, AIIMS will implement a normalization process. This method adjusts scores based on the relative difficulty level of question papers across shifts and helps maintain transparency in the merit ranking process.

Exam Pattern and Eligibility

The entrance examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The paper is expected to include questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. Candidates will be required to answer multiple-choice questions within the prescribed examination duration.

Students who have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are eligible to apply, subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by AIIMS. General category candidates are generally required to secure at least 55% aggregate marks, while reserved category candidates receive relaxation as per government norms.

How to Download AIIMS Nursing Admit Card 2026

Once released, candidates can download their admit card by following these steps:

1. Visit the official AIIMS examination website.
2. Click on the Academic Courses section.
3. Select the B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing admission link.
4. Log in using the Registration ID, Registration Unique Code (RUC), and password.
5. Download and verify all details mentioned on the admit card.
6. Take a printout and keep multiple copies for future reference.

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination center. Entry without these documents may not be permitted.
