Understanding the BHU UG Cutoff Structure

BHU publishes the cutoff for each course and quota separately. The cutoffs are provided for different categories like UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD. Candidates can filter the results to check the cutoff relevant to their profile. The cutoff indicates the minimum score needed for the last seat allocated. It can differ based on the campus, course, and category. Courses that are more popular generally have higher cutoffs than less common courses.

How to Check BHU UG Round 1 Cutoff 2026

Candidates can view the course-wise and category-wise cutoff on the portal. Here are the steps to check the cutoff:

  1. Visit the official cutoff page at admission.bhu.ac.in/en/cutoff/UG/2026.
  2. Select the course, category, and quota using the filters.
  3. The cutoff CUET scores and merit rank will be displayed.
  4. Download and save the cutoff for future use.

How to Confirm the Allotted Seat

Round 1 allotment candidates must make the fee payment on the Samarth portal. The process is as follows:

  1. Log in to bhucuet.samarth.edu.in using your registered details.
  2. Open the seat allotment result to check your allocated course.
  3. Click on the admission fee payment link.
  4. Make the payment using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
  5. Download the payment receipt and keep it safe for records.
  6. Candidates who choose to upgrade in later rounds must pay again.

If the fee is not paid during an upgrade, both allotments will automatically get canceled. This is according to the official BHU notice.

What Happens After Round 1

The BHU CAP-UG process continues with multiple rounds. Any vacant seats from Round 1 will be available in Round 2. Round 2 is expected to be held in the second week of August 2026. Candidates who miss the Round 1 fee deadline will lose their seat. They can still join Round 2 through the Samarth portal.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in to bhucuet.samarth.edu.in  and check your Round 1 allotment.
  2. Verify your course, campus, and category on the portal.
  3. Keep your CUET UG scorecard and identity documents ready.
  4. Pay the admission fee before August 3, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
