Colleges that accept MAT set different percentile cutoffs, so check the cutoff of each college you applied to. Here is a rough guide:

Colleges accepting MAT often look for scores around the 90 to 95 percentile. A composite score of about 650 or higher is considered competitive, but cutoffs vary by institute.

Candidates awaiting the MAT 2026 result can check the expected cutoff percentiles for some popular institutes below:

Cutoffs may vary by programme, category and admission cycle. Candidates should check the respective institute’s official admission criteria.

The MAT 2026 cutoff for New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM) and Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) is expected to be around 80–85 percentile.

Christ University, Bengaluru expects an 80-90 percentile in MAT 2026 for its MBA programmes. Admission also depends on the candidate's academic record and later selection rounds.

• BIMTECH, Greater Noida (specialised programmes): 80-90 percentile in MAT 2026
• SIESCOMS, Navi Mumbai: 80-90 percentile in MAT 2026

These are indicative ranges. Check each college's admission page for its official cutoff.

Amity Business School, Noida is listed with a MAT 2026 cutoff of 90+ percentile. Other institutes such as Christ University and BIMTECH are listed at the 80- 90 percentile. These figures are indicative, and each college sets its own cutoff.

MBA admission through MAT 2026 requires a graduation degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). No minimum MAT score is stipulated.

Colleges first check a candidate's MAT cutoff. They then assess academic records, work experience and performance in the WAT, GD or PI, based on their own criteria.

Candidates with a MAT 2026 percentile between 80 and 90 can consider colleges such as:

• Amity University
• BIMTECH
• Christ University
• JIMS, Rohini
• IPE, Hyderabad

Cutoffs vary by institute and programme, so check each college's admission page.

AIMA neither sets nor publishes MAT 2026 cutoffs. Each institute decides its own percentile requirement, so no official cutoff figures are publicly available.

After the MAT 2026 result, candidates must apply to their chosen institutes. Those who meet an institute's cutoff receive an invitation to the next selection round.

The Personal Interview (PI) is the final screening step at most MBA colleges that accept MAT scores. This holds whether or not the institute also holds a WAT or GD.

Several MAT-participating institutes admit students on the basis of the MAT score alone. These institutes skip the Group Discussion and Personal Interview and offer seats directly to candidates who meet their cutoff.

Candidates called for the selection round should carry:

• Copy of the MAT 2026 admit card
• MAT scorecard
• Originals and photocopies of Class 10 and 12 certificates
• Originals and photocopies of graduation marksheets
• Passport-size colour photographs

Through the MAT application form, AIMA forwards a candidate's latest score to up to five selected B-schools. Candidates who want their score sent to additional colleges must pay an extra fee.
