Who Can Register for Kerala MDS Round 3?
Candidates who are included in the Kerala MDS rank list and are eligible for the third-round process can register fresh options online. Candidates who submitted an application under the October 6, 2026 notification may also register options. However, only eligible candidates included in the revised Kerala State Merit List will be considered for allotment. Candidates can access the PG Dental 2026 Candidate Portal using their Application Number and Password and then select the Option Registration menu to submit their choices.
Kerala MDS Round 3 Registration Fee
CEE Kerala has introduced a fresh option registration fee for the final round.
The amount depends on the type of college options selected:
| Options Selected | Registration Fee |
|---|---|
| Government Dental College option only | Annual tuition fee applicable to the opted seat |
| Option includes a Private Self-financing Dental College | ₹1,00,000 |
| Eligible fee-concession candidates | 50% of the applicable amount |
The registration fee will be adjusted against the course fee if the candidate receives an allotment. If no allotment is received, the fee will be refunded after the counselling process, subject to the conditions specified by CEE Kerala.
Important: Be Careful While Selecting Kerala MDS Options
- CEE Kerala has specifically advised candidates to exercise caution while entering their choices during the final round.
- Candidates should not enter options for colleges or courses in which they do not want to pursue their MDS studies.
- This is particularly important because candidates who receive a third-round allotment will lose their current admission.
If a candidate receives a final-round allotment but does not join the allotted seat, the registration fee paid for the final round will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded. Additional consequences may apply where unnecessary options result in seats being left vacant.
How to Register Kerala MDS Round 3 Options
Candidates can register their options through the CEE Kerala portal by following these steps:
- Visit the official CEE Kerala website.
- Open the PG Dental 2026 Candidate Portal.
- Log in using the Application Number and Password.
- Select Option Registration.
- Enter the preferred colleges and courses carefully.
- Pay the applicable final-round option registration fee.
- Submit the options before October 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
- Keep a copy of the submitted options and payment details for future reference.
The allotment will be based on the revised rank list and options received within the prescribed deadline.
Kerala MDS Admission Cancellation and TC Deadline
Candidates who currently hold a seat but do not want to continue with further allotments can apply for a Transfer Certificate or cancellation of admission by October 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM. CEE Kerala has stated that no fee refund will be made to candidates who apply for Transfer Certificate or admission cancellation after the prescribed deadline. Liquidated damages may also apply according to the relevant admission provisions.
What Happens After Kerala MDS Third Round Allotment?
The provisional third-round allotment is scheduled for October 12, followed by the final allotment on October 13, 2026. Candidates who receive an allotment must join the allotted course and college between October 14 and October 19, 2026, up to 4:00 PM. They must carry the required documents and pay the prescribed fee at the allotted college. No extension of the reporting deadline will be granted, according to the CEE Kerala notification.
Kerala MDS Stray Vacancy Allotment
CEE Kerala has also provided guidelines for a Stray Vacancy Allotment if vacancies remain or arise after the third-phase allotment. However, candidates who receive or join a seat through the third phase may not be eligible to participate in the stray vacancy process. The notification also specifies restrictions for candidates holding or joining seats through the first and second phases and candidates holding certain All India Quota, Deemed or Central University seats. Candidates should therefore check the official eligibility conditions before assuming that they can participate in the stray vacancy process.
